Toinen Muru / Another Sweetheart

Isovelikin sai Muru-kankaasta oman ompeluksensa. Neulosta oli vähän konstikasta ommella (näillä taidoilla), mutta lopputuloksesta tuli kuitenkin kiva. Iloinen, kuten poikakin.

I made a piece of clothing for the big brother, too, from the Muru (='Sweetheart' in Finnish) fabric. It was a bit tricky to sew (as I am not an expert with knitted fabrics) but I think it turned out nice. Happy, just like he is.

Ihana Muru / The lovely Muru-fabric

Käsityömaailmassani oli hetken tyhjää. Niin käy usein, kun saan yhden projektin valmiiksi. Vähän aikaa vain haaveilen siitä, mitä kaikkea olisi ihana tehdä, ennen kuin saan aikaan aloittaa seuraavan.

In my world of crafts there was a silence, for a moment. That happens often after I've finished one project. For a while I am just dreaming of all those lovely crafts I could do.

Tällä kertaa halusin nopeasti valmista, joten ompelin. Ihana kangas on tietysti Murua (ostettu täältä), suomalaisten nuorten suunnittelijoiden luomupuuvillaa, Suomessa valmistettua. Että ne tytöt osaa.

This time I wanted it to be quickly finished, so I sew. The lovely fabric is from the Finnish Muru (bought here), organic cotton made in in Finland by two young designers. Those girls are so talented. (Btw, 'Muru' means sweetheart in English.) Here you find all their fabric patterns.

Haalari on vielä vähän iso, joten jätin napit ja lahkeensuut ompelematta. Ensi talveksi se on varmasti hyvä.

The dungarees are too big for him now, so I didn't sew the buttons and hems of the legs yet. For next winter this should be perfect.
